The story
Box of three breakfast teas
Most people drink the same tea every morning because they settled on it years ago and never compared. This box is the argument against that. Three teas, three tins, three genuinely different answers to the same question.
The green is bright and vegetal and asks for water at 90 °C and no more than three minutes. The straight black is full-bodied and malty and the only one of the three that really takes milk. The Earl Grey is citrus-led, sharper, and is the one that works best cold-brewed overnight in a jug in the fridge, which matters in a Cambodian April.
Why tins
Loose leaf goes stale through contact with air, light and smell. A metal tin solves all three at once, which a paper bag does not, and it survives being packed in a suitcase between clothes. When the tea is finished the tins are worth keeping.
All three teas are certified organic and sold loose, so you will need an infuser or a pot with a filter.
As a gift
This is a tea box that needs no explanation. If the person you are buying for already knows what they like, the single tins are the better choice, and we sell every tea in the set individually.
What our customers say
I came in for one tube of black pepper and left with the three colour set. The staff opened each one so I could smell them before choosing. Nothing was rushed.

Questions
What is in the box?
Three teas in their own metal tins, chosen so that they answer the same question differently: a green, a plain black and an Earl Grey. The green wants 90 °C and no more than three minutes, the black is the only one of the three built to take milk, and the Earl Grey is citrus led and better without.
Does it survive hand luggage?
Yes, and better than most gift formats. Metal tins take the pressure and the knocks that a paper bag does not, and they keep the tea from picking up the smell of everything else in the case. When the tea is finished the tins are worth keeping.
I do not know which tea the person likes. Is this a safe gift?
That is exactly what this box is for. Three genuinely different registers rather than three variations of the same thing, so there is very little chance that none of them lands. If the person already knows what they like, the single tins are the better choice and we sell every tea in the box separately.
